Tom’s approach to jewelery design stems from traditional metalsmithing methods but with a twist- using silver and high karat gold as his medium.

His work is completely hand fabrctaed and meticulously designed. Combining sterling silver with 22k gold, McGurrin creates subtle contrasts of color, texture, and form.

Surfaces are finished by various techniques: they are printed, sanded, brushed, and often oxidized. Fold forming and die forming give volume to the shapes. A final brushing gives the work it’s rich, velvety apperance. Fine Art jewelery at its best.
